FAQ: dildo angling & vaginal erogenous zones

I love deep dicking; if you're new here, it won't take you long to notice that.

And while I review a significant share of clitoral toys — and I speak up about the clitoris being the MVP for most vulva-owners — the cervix is the MVP for me.

More length means massaging my cervix, and girth (even if it's as simple as an average-sized penis tip drilling) can rub the internal parts of my clitoris.

It initially took me time to find erotic angles I love. Still, because I stayed (figuratively) open to possibilities, I found a wide range of ways to cum again and again.

How to find dildo thrusting angles that work for you

Here's my modus operandi.

I get curious about what each area feels like and treat it like an artsy experiment. My walls are like a canvas or sketchbook page, and I ask:

  • "Where do I feel like 'drawing' today?"
  • "What shapes do I want to make?"

Here are just a few zones that worked for me, in a nutshell:

  • Going all the way in, behind my cervix, with a long glass dildo, and adjusting the tip's tilt or rotating it slightly.
  • Staying shallow with a flexible dildo but bending it so the outer portion slides or bumps on my clit during short strokes
  • Staying shallow, pushing the tip against the front wall (on the G‑spot), just past the pubic bone

Some tools are more precise for "drawing" on a specific spot, while others are broader, like in the clit-grinding example.

If you find it difficult to orgasm with penetration alone, that's totally normal. You may want to look up the coital alignment technique or find a clit toy to pair with your dildo if you haven't already. Or focus on the externals without penetration; your pleasure is for you, boo!

Personally, I find it easier to orgasm with penetration, so I wanted to share more of what I like.

What are these internal erogenous zones called?

Let's name the hot spots and get more specific. You don't have to think of it as a list of terms to remember; think of it as more ways to play with shapes and strokes on a canvas.

I've spotlighted the must-reads in bold.

G‑Spot Stimulation

The G‑spot is the general area where the internal clitoris and urethral sponge are especially sensitive on the front wall. For some people with vaginas (like myself), the G‑spot is very shallow — about 1–2 inches inside, and either where the pubic bone dips, or just past it. Sex toys with steeply curved shafts or protruding heads are generally best for G‑spot stimulation:

A‑Spot Exploration

The A‑spot (also known as the AFE or anterior fornix erogenous zone) is also on the front wall, but a little deeper than the G‑spot. It's almost all the way in, just shy of the cervix. Toys with a shallow curve or forward-tilting head are also great for A‑spot stimulation:

Cervix Massage

The cervix, or neck of the womb, isn't merely the end of the vagina. It's a tubular structure that's packed with nerve endings. The key to finessing it is to let objects slide in front of or behind it.

Sex positions that can help leverage penetration depth include:

  • Missionary with the receptive partner's legs pulled toward their chest
  • Cowgirl with hips elevated
  • Really face-down, ass up doggy-style

Perineal Sponge

To stimulate this area, you play as if you're pressing on the anus through the back vaginal wall. Toys with bumps and textures, like the Chrystalino Champ, Uberrime Aqua-King, and Uberrime Xenuphora, are great for stimulating the perineal sponge.

And, of course, almost everyone has a butt!

Closing Thoughts

I was shocked the first time I read that most women never insert when masturbating. Playing with only the clitoral glans is like jerking off a penis by just touching the tip. It can get the job done, but it’s often way more fun to go beyond. What’s more, handheld fucking machines are more compact than ever. Hooray for lazy masturbation for unattached pillow princesses!

Six years later, I probably wouldn't approach the topic in the same way I did back then, but I'm glad I have these quick resources to pull up for new readers
