Nancy Avo & Lem Clit Toy Review: high performers or hype?

Nancy Avo & Lem Clit Toy Review: high performers or hype?

Only one of these toys gets my seal of approval.

Nancy Avo avocado-shaped air pulse toy and Lem lemon-shaped clitoral massager

Several readers asked what I thought of Lem, the super cute lemon-shaped air pulse massager by Nancy.

Finally trying Lem affirmed what I anticipated — while Nancy Avo's speeds climbed to the high end of expectations. The latter impressed me and alerted me to how much my preferences have changed. (Hint: sometimes it is too intense for me, but that might be perfect for you!)

I'm a performance power-shopper — not quite fitting into Nancy's target demographic — but I dig what they did with Avo, and you might, too.

First In-Person Impressions of Nancy Avo and Lem

Purely based on the exterior, I can give Nancy points for:

  • Recognizing that the compact Womanizer Liberty looks like a halved avocado! Yessss, someone made my impulsive thought a reality!
  • Packaging that's a party for the eyes — a festive experience and also eco-friendly at the same time. Practically everything enveloping your toy is recyclable. Just collapse and recycle the box.
  • Using bold colors. Do you remember when a green or yellow vibrator was all but unheard of? I remember. Pepperidge Farm remembers. Even Minna Life made their Limon in pink and aqua, which was a missed opportunity.

Nancy Avo got Liberty's looks. Does it package parallel power?

Hello Nancy Clitoral Air Toys vs. Womanizer Intensity

Actually, yes! Purely power-wise, Nancy Avo's highest setting is par with the Womanizer Liberty's highest, but just a bit buzzier. I was impressed right away. In contrast, Lem's is about level with the Satisfyers'.

Lem and Avo are on different tiers of strength. Satisfyer and Womanizer, meanwhile, give the user more control.

Lem did exactly what I expected. Avo shocked me.

Let's compare the steady speeds' intensities first, then dissect how someone might use each toy differently. We'll use the Womanizer Premium 2's broad speed range as the benchmark here.

Compared to the Womanizer Premium 2's 14 settings:

  • Satisfyers tend to measure 1 to 6.5, and 2 buttons click through 11 steady speeds. Patterns depend on the exact model.
  • Lem measures 0.5 to 6.5, and 1 button cycles through 6 steady speeds and 6 patterns.
  • Avo measures 6 to 9.5, and 1 button clicks through 3 steady speeds and 7 patterns.
  • Liberty measures 2.5 to 8.5, and 2 buttons control 3 steady speeds.

Listen to these audio recordings to get an idea of what Nancy Avo and Lem's settings sound like.

Also worth noting: Lem and Avo’s nozzles are about 13mm wide x 13mm deep — about the same size as the rose toy's nozzle.

If your clit is bigger than that, consider:

What Does All of that Mean in Practice?

Satisfyers and Nancy's Lem are great for beginners figuring out what they want, with smaller speed increments. Satisfyer wins here for precision and price, but Lem's visual appeal might seduce some shoppers. Even with the latter's minimal interface, the viral Rose toy could learn from the more subtle clitoral caresses.

If you want tiny increments and beginner-friendly control, Satisfyer wins. If you want cute and strong, Avo makes a case.

Nancy Avo is a nice middle ground when it comes to price, power, and practical shape. It's easy to hold, plenty powerful, and costs just a tad less than the Womanizer Liberty (as of the day this review was written).

Womanizer's buttons are more for those seeking the deluxe experience — if you want high-intensity options and the ability to turn the speed down, get a Womanizer. (Exception: the Womanizer Next is quite gentle.)

Lastly, beyond the scope of this post, if you want a toy that'll just beat up your clitoris while still looking cute, consider the Rose (of course) or Little Goo by La Boutique Voila.

My Personal Experience With Nancy Avo & Lem

After trying Lem — and it meeting exactly my expectations — Avo shocked me.

I used to mostly use clit toys over my clitoral hood. Nowadays, I can appreciate some direct sensation. Lem is generally gentle enough to use under the hood.

With Avo, I have to start over the hood, unless I'm intentionally forcing some orgasms out.

It can feel like a lot — which brings me to my next point.

Personally, I get sensitive after I cum on a clitoral air pulse toy, so comprehensive control panels are a priority for me. I like the Nancy Avo, and I'll certainly use it again, but for someone built like me, I'd much rather recommend spending a tad more for a Womanizer Liberty.

Neither Lem nor Avo is perfect for me, but I'll tread carefully here: toy preference is so incredibly subjective, and it comes down to which one is perfect for you.

My Verdict: Are the Nancy Avo & Lem Worth It?

In a nutshell, Lem isn't really my thing, but Avo's ergonomics, aesthetics, and intensity make me so happy, even though they're not 100% aligned to my ideal toy.

My preferences have changed: sometimes Avo is too intense for me… which might be perfect for you

I get the idea: one button keeps it simple, and not everyone cares to turn the speed down or go for another orgasm and another and another. "Good for beginners" in this context means:

  • Small spacing between settings
  • Reliable power
  • Nothing too "intimidating"

That last point isn't exactly something I struggle with, but I understand that Hong Kong is at a crossroads, coming to terms with Confucian values around modesty and propriety vs. pleasure and masturbation.

The Nancy Avo is such a clever workaround for that. It's cute, and its shape makes sense for what it is.

I respect Hello Nancy's hustle.

These toys are adorable, but the real question is power—and the Nancy Avo actually delivers.

Post-Script: Why the Spike in Cute Clit Toy Shapes' Popularity?

The rise of the rose and similar toys in silly shapes suggests some marketing segmentation between Millennials and Gen Z in America.

In this economy? Those newest to the workforce care more about a budget-friendly, discreet, somewhat quiet toy that gets the job done well enough — and they're more likely to hear about a toy that's innocent-looking enough for social media moderators' sensibilities.

Lucky for me, I run my own website where I don't have to worry about that. 🙂 Thank you for supporting me.
